Lledo

Lledo was formed in 1982 by former Matchbox employee Jack Odell, naming his company by simply reversing his name. The first models were released under the Days Gone name, followed by the Vanguards range of models. Some models were originally produced in the Vanguards range, but were subsequently moved to the Days Gone range, most notably the DG60 Dennis F8 Fire Engine. The company was sold to Corgi in 1999. Under the Lledo ownership, the authenticity of the models was very evident, and a lot of time and effort was put into keeping the models as true to life as possible with real liveries used particularly with the fire models. This seems to have been relaxed under the leadership of Corgi.

The notable fire models are DG5 Shand Mason Horse Drawn Fire Engine which has a very strong Matchbox influence, DG12 1934 Dennis Fire Engine and DG60 1955 Dennis F8 Fire Engine. There have been 2 other fire models, DG79 1939 Ford Fire Engine and German fire truck, as well as other models produced in fire livery.
